OFFICIAL ENGLISH TESTS: Trinity College London ESOL program

This is Trinity College's certificates program for people whose first language is not English. It includes the following exams:

Graded Examinations in Spoken English (GESE)

These exams test how well non-native speakers write and speak English.
There are four levels with three grades at each level: Grades 1-3 (Initial stage); Grades 4-6 (Elementary stage); Grades 7-9 (Intermediate stage); Grades 10-12 (Advanced stage).

Integrated Skills in English( ISE)

Integrated Skills in English examinations (ISE) is comprised of four sections: speaking, writing, listening and reading
There are five levels: ISE 0, ISE I, ISE II, ISE III, ISE IV; ISE is accepted by colleges/universities in the United Kingdom as proof of English language proficiency for International students.

The Trinity ESOL exams conform to the guidelines of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). This framework sets standards in foreign language learning/teaching across Europe, by categorising learners into six levels of ability.

Successful completion of the Trinity exams is generally accepted in the UK as proof of English proficiency, and the exams are listed recognized by the UK's University and Colleges Admissions Services as acceptable evidence of English language competency.
