OFFICIAL ENGLISH TESTS: The London Tests of English for Children (LTEFC)
The London Tests of English for Children (LTEFC) are exams developed by the Pearson group for young children who are learning English. The main protagonists of these exams are "the Brown family", and the child learns English while reading about their adventures. Like the London Tests of English (for adults), the approach is a theme-based one. There is an emphasis on learning English from real-life situations, rather than grammatical exercises. The four skills that are tested are: reading, writing, listening and speaking.
