US CITIES: Vocabulary practice for ESL students: CINCINNATI, OH

Here's a new way to learn and practice English: We've developed a series of exercises based on descriptions of some of the most famous American cities. Here's a description of Cincinnati, OH. Read it and choose the right word for each blank space :) Good luck!

Cincinnati is a city in southwestern Ohio. Situated on seven hills, it is unique in design as an American city, with its focus (center/centered) around Fountain Square, a small central square, which is (around/surrounded) by the city's tallest buildings. (With/Among) other things, Cincinnati is known for having the largest (gathering/collection) of nineteenth- (century/era) Italianate architecture in the country, primarily (concerned/concentrated) in the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood, (about/just) north of downtown. That (told/said), there is still a lot that needs to be done in (topic/terms) of restoring the historic architecture in some of the poor areas of the city. If you're hungry, try a (container/bowl) of the famous Cincinnati chili.
