Calgary is the largest city in the Canadian province of Alberta, and is located in the southern part of that province. The city is very (close-by/close) to the Rocky Mountains, so there are a (number/numerous) of major mountain (resorts/resources) near the metropolitan area. Calgary's economy is mostly (central/centered) on the petroleum industry, although other industries, (the same as/such as) agriculture, tourism, and high-tech, also (play/make) an important role.
