Dublin is the capital and largest city of the Republic of Ireland. Apart from being the (administered/administrative) centre of Ireland, Dublin is the country's cultural and financial centre as well. Dublin's (recently/recent) emergence as an important international city (Thais/ties) in to Ireland's "Celtic Tiger" period of economic growth. This period, which started in the mid-1990s, also saw a lot of immigration from both Europe and (outside/beyond).
