US CITIES: English vocabulary and grammar practice: MILWAUKEE, WI

Here's a new way to learn and practice English: We've developed a series of exercises based on descriptions of some of the most famous American cities. Here's a description of Milwaukee, WI. Pead it and choose the right word for each blank space :) Good luck!

Milwaukee is the largest city in the state of Wisconsin and the 22nd-largest in the United States. It is known as "The City of Festival3" for its great number of ethnic and music (fests/festivals), the largest of (what/which) is Summerfest. Many people (assume/associate) Milwaukee with beer, as it was once the home to four of the world's largest (brew/breweries) (Schlitz, Blatz, Pabst, and Miller). These (days/day) only the Miller Brewing Company (remains/stays) . Like other historically-industrial northern cities, Milwaukee has (taken/made) steps over the past few years to (redo/reshape) its image, in large part by reviving its downtown. Its most visually (prominent/promised) cultural attraction is the Milwaukee Art Museum, especially its new $100 million wing (design/designed) by Santiago Calatrava.
