US CITIES: English vocabulary and grammar practice: MINNEAPOLIS, MN

Here's a new way to learn and practice English: We've developed a series of exercises based on descriptions of some of the most famous American cities. Here's a description of Minneapolis, MN. Read it and choose the right word for each blank space :) Good luck!

Minneapolis is the largest city in the state of Minnesota. It has a large park system (containing/consisting) of ten (squared/square) miles (26 kmē) of land and water - some of the lakes are beautifully situated (exact/right) in the center of the city. Another important (mark/landmark) is main campus of the University of Minnesota, one of the largest (campus/campuses) in the country, with more than 50,000 undergraduate and (graduated/graduate) students. There are plenty of cultural attractions - Minneapolis (says/claims) to have the highest per capita (attendance/frequency) at theater and arts events in the United States (outside/out) of New York City and Chicago. Bike- (taking/riding) is really popular here as well, with an average of 10,000 people riding daily.
