Cities around the world (ESOL practice): Oxford, England

Practice English grammar and vocabulary by learning about cities from around the world. Here's a description of Oxford, England. Read it and choose the right word for each blank space :) Good luck!

Oxford is a city in south-central England, and is most famous for its world- (class/classed) university, the University of Oxford, the oldest university in the English- (taking/speaking) world. Although the education sector plays a big (rule/role) in the local economy, other sectors such as (science/scientific) and information technology are also important. Neither too big (nor/not) too small, Oxford is an architecturally (attracting/attractive) city. Its impressive historical buildings in and (surround/around) the city centre are often used as a (curtain/backdrop) by TV and movie crews. With such a strong (presents/presence) of university students, it's no surprise that the city would have the largest single-room bookstore in (all/whole) of Europe, Blackwell's Bookshop.
