-FUL
Meaning: "full of" or "having a lot of" something.
Function: Turns a noun into an adjective.

-LESS
Meaning: "without" something, lacking something.
Function: Also turns a noun into an adjective.
Examples:
hope → hopeless (without hope)
fear → fearless (without fear)
home → homeless (without a home)
