A second indefinite pronouns exercise with more challenging contexts — negatives, questions, and the any- compounds used with a positive meaning. If you haven't done exercise 1 yet, start there.
Any- in positive sentences (free choice meaning):
The any- compounds in positive sentences signal free choice — "it doesn’t matter which." You can sit ______ you like. / ______ can join the club.
No- compounds with positive verbs:
The no- compounds give a negative meaning without requiring a negative verb — never use them with not. There’s ______ I can do. ✓ There isn’t ______ I can do. ✗
Every- for completeness:
The every- compounds emphasise totality across people, things, and places. ______ agreed. / I’ve looked ______. / ______ is ready.
Singular verb — always: ______ knows the answer. / ______ was fine.
