The subject pronouns are: first person singular (I), second person singular and plural (you), third person singular masculine (he), third person singular feminine (she), third person singular neuter (it), first person plural (we), third person plural.
Choosing the right third person singular form:
Use the masculine form for male persons, the feminine form for female persons, and the neuter form for things, animals, and abstract ideas. My sister called. ______ sounded happy. The dog is hungry. ______ wants food.
First person plural vs third person plural:
The first person plural includes the speaker; the third person plural refers to a group the speaker is not part of. ______ are going to the cinema. (I am included) ______ are at the restaurant. (I am not included)
